Family Questions
Here are four warning signs that may indicate it might be time to consider at-home care for your loved one:
- Changes in balance, mobility, and function
- Changes in the home environment (for example: inconsistent housekeeping, piles of mail or laundry, or expired food)
- Unexpected weight loss
- Unexplained dents in a car, auto accidents, or evidence of unsafe driving

We consider a family’s individual needs very seriously and recognize that what is right for one family may not be right for another. One of the most helpful tools in designing a care plan is to visit the home setting. We can schedule your assessment any time that is most convenient for your schedule, whether during the day, nighttime, or on weekends.
Following this visit, our experienced caregivers will create and implement a personalized care plan for your loved one.
We work with many facilities throughout the Austin area. Your loved one will benefit from the same personalized attention in a care facility that we provide at home. Hiring a caregiver to come in allows for more one-on-one time than the resident facility may be able to offer.
Working with your family to find the best-suited caregiver at the exact time you need them is something we pursue at Blue Water Homecare with laser focus. We know that keeping to a regular routine will often elicit a more positive response from the person receiving care, so we will do everything we can to strictly adhere to your scheduling requests.
Medicare and Medicaid typically do not pay for the types of services provided by Blue Water Homecare. However, certain insurance policies and other healthcare plans can help offset the cost of aging in the home. During certain stages of life, in-home care can typically prove less expensive than assisted living while providing much more personalized care that is better tailored to your loved one. We can help you navigate any policy to ensure that you receive the greatest coverage.
