Blue Water Homecare is proud to announce that we have recently grown our services to now offer the Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care Program (HHA) to United States veterans.
The HHA Program exists through the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to improve the lives of the brave men and women who have selflessly defended our country.
What is the VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care Program?
HHA was established to help veterans age safely and independently in the comfort and convenience of their own homes through caregiver assistance. Veterans are typically eligible for a package of standard medical benefits, of which long-term care services and in-home care are often included.

What at-home care services does Blue Water offer through the HHA?
A sample of homecare services that we can perform in order to allow veterans and their family caregivers to function comfortably, and safely, in their own space include:
- Bathing, grooming and incontinence care
- Medication reminders
- Respite care for regular family caregivers
- Light exercise and movement
- Assistance with medical equipment and medical monitoring
How do you qualify for the HHA Program?
To be eligible for Blue Water Homecare’s HHA services, veterans must:
- Already be enrolled for the VA standard medical benefits package
- Qualify for care services if they are not offered by local VA providers
- Obtain a physician’s referral for at-home care services
